Next day thoughts?

Now that we have all had a chance to wake up and have our Sunday cup of coffee, give me any thoughts about the games yesterday. I was very happy the Hurricanes came away with a win. Putting up under 20 points last year vs Boston college I was worried how we would respond with such a young team. I think Alabama embaressed Michigan and Oregon was very entertaining. Oklahoma States 77-0 win vs Savannah State had to be rough for the Savannah State fans. Just knowing next week you get to go to Florida State and play against the Seminoles at their house after they put up 60+ against Murray State can’t be a good feeling. Lastly USC looked poised to go into the showdown with Oregon as one for the ages. Share with us the story lines from yesterday that caught your attention.

How to follow the big game while the in-laws are here?

Hopefully I am the only one who is going to have this problem but I know that is simply not true. So
here is the million dollar question, how do I watch some football while on the go with the family? How do I do this without looking disinterested and ignoring everyone? Here are a few of my favorites. You can find these on most smart phones.

1. Watch ESPN App: It’s a free download and it’s extremely easy to use. You can watch all of the ESPN programs and anything on ESPN3. The only thing you need is your account information for your cable subscriber or satellite provider. This is live video so it works best with WiFi but you can use a 3G or 4G connection. If you do not have an unlimited data plan be careful to not eat up all of your monthly data plan.

2: ESPN Sportscenter: This one is also free to download. I like this because you can get away with quick glances at your phone instead of staring to get the updates you need. You have the ability to customize this to all the teams you want to follow. It also gives you the chance to follow particular conferences. This is not live video but it updates every 15 seconds and gives you the play by play break down with stats and lots of extra information. You can also sign up for text messages that will alert you for all scoring plays or after each quarter for particular teams or games.

Please share with us any other methods you may use so we can stay out of the dog house.
