So eight days in and countless hours of training, I am starting to move up the ranks of completing tasks using one arm.I figure in the next few weeks I should be cooking 5 course meals while folding laundry and scooping the cat box all while holding Baby K. I will make sure to post some pictures (using one hand of course).
Come January I will have known the most wonderful person for nine years. She has accomplished so much since we have been together. She graduated from university of Florida. Then decided to go to school for another 4 years to become an optometrist. During this 4 years she studied her tail off. When others were partying she was studying. While people visited family she studied for the national boards. (Which she passed all 3 on the first try) When I lost my job and was unemployed for a little she was my rock. When I decided to try out the insurance world she was in my corner. When I lost my Dad she never once has tried to fix it or pretend like she understands, she listens, holds my hand and tells me she loves me. She watches PTI everyday with me and never complains. On Saturday and Sunday she always makes sure to ask me if there is a big game on that I want to watch. She doesn’t nag or judge me for eating chicken wings 3 nights in a row. If I put my clothes inside out in the laundry she doesn’t yell, doesn’t ask me to stop, she just turns it
right side out and goes on. While laying in the hospital bed sick as a dog in the beginning of this pregnancy she would ask me if I was ok. I didn’t think I could be any more proud of her then I already am, then she gave birth to our daughter. This woman is the strongest, kind hearted, perfect example of a woman that a father could ask as a role model for his daughter. I am the luckiest man alive and I vow that I will spend every possible ounce of energy I have treating her the way she deserves. I love my wife. I don’t care what could happen in life, with her by my side no-one can have it better then me.
Last night was a stressful night. We watched Steven Kings The Mist followed by The walking Dead, so we were a little on edge. So we decided to fall asleep to Family Guy in the Background. I fall asleep shortly after but never really settled in. At about 2:00 AM I get abruptly waken up to my wife saying “honey, honey” and pauses a stares at me for a second, at this time I’m thinking alright its go time. She follows with “I think Lucas needs to go out”. My heart stopped, I get up take the dogs out real quick, I’m back in bed maybe 2 minutes later and she has already rolled over and is fast asleep. I have only one thought about this, Kendall Hurry up!
