Just another reason to love Amazon.

Why is a Box, 2 old belts, packing paper and baby wipes the greatest thing on earth? I’ll tell you why, it’s the greatest entertainment for 2 kids EVER.  Mom is out getting her hair done and I’m at home with the girls watching some football and they are off playing with a box full of Amazon stuff.  Yes you read that right, just a box with amazon stuff.  Right now my house isn’t filled with crying or fighting, it’s filled with baby giggles and fun.  For the last hour and a half Kendall and Natalie have climbed in and out of this box nonstop and couldn’t be happier.  So ultimately my procrastination of not putting up the box of goodies  for 2 days has now turned into an oasis of happy kiddos and a relaxing day of college football.  Life is good GREAT!

Wildlife Park

I think we may have discovered a new goldmine. Up the road from where we live  is the Homosassa Wildlife Park and it was very fun. It’s basically fenced off everywhere you can go so Kendall basically had 1.5 milesto run wild. We got to see a wide variety of Florida wildlife (birds, hippo, wolves, deer, otters and manatees just to name a few) and it was very cheap to get in. It was very easy to navigate and the staff was extremely friendly. You start off with about a 15 minute boat ride to the park where the tour guide gives you a good deal of info about the park.  The underwater observatory was very fun also.  It was peaceful and it was great to see the manatees and fish up close. Please feel free to leave a comment about your experience at the park or if you have any suggestions for another state park for us to visit.   We will definitely be heading back with the girls.

Finally a dry afternoon.

Since moving to said sunshine state it hasn’t been very sunshiny. I remembered that it rained every afternoon for a few minutes in Fl but according to the locals this raining all day is not normal. 

Yesterday we finally got a break. So since the girls haven’t had countless hours of running through the backyard like I imagined, I jumped at the chance when it was sunny. 

Amma gave us a water toy that you attached to the hose so I figured let’s give it a shot. We brought the girls outside clothes and all and let them go at it. 

Kendall liked it so much that we had to take it into the bath with her.

I’m really glad we took the chance to play outside because we’re back to sunny Florida today.
